Provincial Youth Meetings Update

—-The Women’s Forums are an opportunity to discuss a provincial structure for Aboriginal Women…would you like to see a Provincial Aboriginal Women’s Secretariat, Council, Advocates group, etc…

It is also a time to talk to UNN’s Leadership about what you think priorities are for Aboriginal Womens Issues, also to recommend solutions or to highlight key programs, opportunities in your community…

>>>>>Regional Youth Meeting on February 23-24, 2008 in Kamloops
—-The Regional youth meetings are an opportunity to find out more about what UNN (United Native Nations) is, what they have been doing for youth and what projects they have been involved in…And to find out how you can get more involved in either your community, region or province…

The sessions provide information on key Aboriginal youth advocate organizations in the region, training/workshops on leadership and governance, as well as an opportunity to give direction in where the youth governance initiative goes in the future…

——-Provincial meetings are for the youth selected by members in their region to represent the region at the provincial level…They have opportunities to participate in provincial Aboriginal Youth projects.

All meetings are open to Aboriginal youth in the host city and the surrounding areas….so dont be shy to ask if you can attend…
The youth meetings also have limited travel/accomodations sponsorships available…
