Vancouver – The Native Education College Board of Directors is pleased to announce that after reviewing the results of an independent review of its programs and services and discussions with the Ministry of Advanced Education, it has decided to remain open to serve the Aboriginal post-secondary learning community. Discussions between the NEC Board of Directors, the First Nations Leadership Council and the Ministry of Advanced Education have resulted in plans for the NEC to continue to function as a private Aboriginal education institution with existing government contributions to NEC to continue.
